Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Canadian Competition Law Review – CBA Competition Law Section Publication
A. The Canadian Competition Law Review (“CanCompLRev”) consists of a print version, an electronic version available on cba.org, a searchable electronic database available on the cba.org website, and abstracts and off-prints.
B. The CBA will acknowledge the authorship of the Work in any publication of the Work.
1. I hereby grant the Canadian Bar Association (“CBA”) the following non exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licenses in respect of the Work:
(a) a license to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the Work, and to communicate the Work to the public by telecommunication, in the CanCompLRev in any form whatsoever (including print or electronic media), and by any technology now known or hereafter developed, either separately or as part of a collective work;
(b) a license to translate, adapt and modify the Work as judged necessary by the CBA for the reproduction and publication of the Work in the CanCompLRev as set out above;
(c) a license to sublicense third parties:
(i) to exercise those rights necessary to prepare and include the Work in research and document delivery services such as those offered (without limitation) by WestLaw, Lexis, and Quicklaw;
(ii) to reproduce the Work for educational use, provided that (a) copies are distributed at or below cost; (b) the authors are identified and full correct citations included; (c) proper notice of copyright is affixed to each copy; and (d) the author(s) is/are notified of the use;
(iii) to authorize commercial duplication of the Work provided that (a) consent has been received by the author; (b) a reproduction fee is set by the CBA from time to time is remitted to the CBA; (c) the authors are identified and full and correct citations included; (d) notice of copyright is affixed to each copy; and (e) the author(s) is/are notified of the use.
2. I represent and warrant that:
(a) appropriate acknowledgement has been given and consent obtained for quotes or extracts contained in the Work,
(b) that the Work is original;
(c) I have obtained all necessary permissions to republish any copyrighted material contained in the Work.
(d) The Work is not unlawful in any way nor does it (i) defame any person, (ii) invade the privacy of any person, (iii) constitute a breach of confidence, or (iv) infringe, violate or misappropriate the rights of any person (including but not limited to intellectual property rights).
(e) I have full power and authority to enter into this agreement and to grant the rights granted herein.
(f) I agree to indemnify and hold the CBA (and its editors and staff) harmless from any claim, action or proceeding, arising from a breach of any of the foregoing representations and warranties.
3. I acknowledge and agree that I will receive no payment in respect of the publication or other use of the Work or in respect of the exercise by the CBA or others of the rights granted hereunder in respect of the Work.
